Looking forward to Arts Seafront Sunday in St Peter Port this weekend!
You’ll find us near the Town Church. Look forward to seeing you there.
Last Saturday saw the launch of Richard Fleming’s new collection of poetry, Stone Witness.
A good sized crowd at the Priaulx Library listened to Richard read a number of poems from the collection, including the title, Stone Witness, commissioned by the BBC for National Poets Day, and inspired by La Gran’mère du Chimquière, the statue-menhir which stands outside St Martins Church.
For more details of Richard’s new collection of poetry, please see Stone Witness.
Stone Witness has just arrived from the printers. And here is the author, Richard Fleming, reviewing the very first copy.
If you would like to know more about Richard and his work – see his blog at http://redhandwriter.blogspot.com/.
We are holding a Book Launch, where Richard will read a selection of his poems, at the Priaulx Library on 13 May at 1pm (click here for the Stone Witness flyer).

This eclectic new collection deals with themes of love and death, old and new gods, nostalgia for a vanished age and the challenge of life in the 21st Century.
The collection includes ‘Stone Witness’ (La Gran’mère du Chimquière), a poem about the relationship between Guernsey’s iconic granite figure and the islanders themselves, which was commissioned by the BBC for National Poetry Day in 2016.
We are planning a book launch at the Priaulx Library at 1pm on 13 May – more details to follow.
